The P.I.N. Web Browser experience

Working on a custom web browser for the Paranormal Investigators Norfolk group. Should be interesting plus it's got links to my Twitter profile in the "About" Tab. Will post when it's available for download. Also message me, if you want a custom Web browser made for you. Updates to come.

Smart-Suit

New ideas for the Smart-Suit. I have drawn up plans for the Ace-Core system I am integrating within the front panels. Should be interesting. It will have onboard data storage, bluetooth capabilities and a few extras. More to come.

No rest for the wicked

I'm up late tonight/this morning. Sleep eludes me, however I have backtrack 5 to keep me company. Let the hacking begin.

Delays: VOWI

Unfortunate to my knowledge I've had a few setbacks in regards to the VOWI project. My dish hasn't arrived yet. However, I'll be working on something new until the VOWI project begins. I will be working on a smart-suit. Could be fun.

The growth of P.I.N and the outside source

We have an outside source of whom can arrange the investigation of the Tollhouse. EMF detector, still works so far. Avante!

No posts on Sunday. Scooter top-boxes know this.

Today I acquired a workstation for the VOWI project. Logistics in progress, blah blah blah. Tonight I'm working on a top-box for a scooter. It's going to have a built in communications CB system. Should be fun. Note about the day: It was quite an okay day, met a few friends, had a few laughs and played victim to the continuing thoughts of invention and creativeness, hence the top box.

Paranormal Investigators Norfolk: Toll House Investigation

A reminder about next week. Hopefully myself and colleagues of mine will be investigating the Olde Tollhouse in Great Yarmouth. There are apparent unexplained entities within the walls of the historic buildings and we intend to figure it out for ourselves. Stay tuned into my blog

2 days to go

It is, folks, a very short wait until I get VOWI online. There is also a secret project, entwined within the core of the VOWI project. So stay tuned into my blog for the updates!

Instruments

I'm considering taking up the Violin. The only classical instrument I can actually play is the trumpet, guitar and the French horn. My project is still going to commence but, I need to educate myself in another creative way. What can I say, I have many hobbies.

"Shake a leg"

(Above - Beverley Minster)

Awoke at a not so late time today. I fancied a walk so I went to explore the little town of Beverley, it was nice to stretch my legs for a change. It's getting more and more difficult to be a hermit. Anyway, I've had a few thoughts about the VOWI project and there may be a couple of setbacks in regards to call hosting but, I'll get back to that, meanwhile the project commences and the build begins on Monday

"Course, laid in!"

Okay, so I have a source for the satellite dish, I have the technology and tools to implement it, I also have test devices around the town - this is going to be brilliant. I am dead excited about this project and It is getting nearer with every blog posting I type. The game is on!

"Raising the platform"

Guess what folks, VOWI has grown, not only will it be functional in Great Yarmouth but, a big shout to a friend of mine, Mr Dalton Biggs, of whom will be monitoring the Gorleston network operations. We've theoretically extended VOWI so we can test it's full potential, as our plans stretch to a nationwide level.
I'm counting down the days to the build and I'm sure it will be both educational and entertaining.

Updates to come...

VOWI promotional logo

Here is the VOWI promotional logo. I thought I may as well stick it up due to the fact it will be up and running by March  2012!!!

" VOBI and VOWI "

You see VOBI may be turning to the WIFI side because of the fact that a bluetooth based mobile network, will be dangerous, as far as data security is concerned.

I shall call it "VOWI" (Voice Over Wireless Internet)

An extended WIFI network will be put in place to spread to far distances (using the exact same peripherals), so those on Skype or Viber can connect and talk to each other in a designated area with ease.
In this case, the project will happen much quicker, simpler and will give a greater user security. Think of it as a reliable WIFI hotspot, where designated users can connect to it. However, most of you are probably thinking, "I could just use the internet and no one will be the wiser" (or something along those lines) Well heres the thing, I will be dedicating select devices to the network, so no one can 'hog' the bandwidth. I will be creating or importing specific phones, that are compatible with WIFI but, not regular internet accessible. "Thats not very good" - you say, well, this will enable maximum connection quality and after all, it is a phone network.
Your also probably thinking, "What about 'VOBI'?" - well, VOBI is still coming but, it will just be a server, shipping data to your devices about updates, tutorials, videos on how to set-up you VOWI and other useful information, just pair to connect, using a code in your phone package but, not yet folks, it's still in progress along with "VOWI".

I'll bring you more updates as the week progresses...

The stepping-stone to free communication

(Above) Pre-millennium sky dish. This is paramount to the VOBI project's design) Another lay-in. Great minds need their rest I suppose. I kid of course, anyway, I've achieved a sky dish for when I return to Great Yarmouth, so as soon as I return, I'll begin with the amplified antenna build. VOBI is in short reach, I'm glad to say and the wire soldering begins. I'll keep you all posted.

"A more constructive way"

I awoke rather late today. I've done some research on the sky dish and I think it will work really well. Turns out, Ebay is a godsend for unwanted crap/ potential project material. I can also buy all the other components for my VOBI network, such as the Bluetooth transceiver and electronics. I shall continue to document my progress as I go on. I doubt anyone reads this blog but, it's nice to talk to myself in a more constructive way

"Free phone calls AND TV channels!!"

VOBI project has a new outlook. What if I was to produce an installable package that allows users to enter a program interface, where they can access free telephone calls and tv channels. I'm not talking about the useless channels that feature shopping but, genuine internet based informative and entertaining channels such as kerrang! or NASA TV. I'll return to this as I progress.

"Future-proof"

Slept very well last night a bright day met my eyes. The weather seems to be a bit better this side of the country (East Yorkshire) An epiphany came to mind about the VOBI project. I will need to make it future proof (or future war proof) Hmm...

"VOBI has a brand new bag"

Today went well, I wasn't given a reason to become agitated with train delays and I even had time to do some typing in regards to the VOBI project of which has had a new meaning added. VOBI (Voice-Over Bluetooth Inter-link) which i'm sure you will all agree, is a more appropriate meaning to the cause.

Here is my latest journal on the project: ***********************************

VOBI, will primarily be a project based upon the active fundamentals of a VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) service. The difference being that it connects devices through a Bluetooth operation network (THE PROCESS INVOLVED IN THIS PROJECT CAN ALSO BE IMPLEMENTED/ APPLIED TO WIFI), to wit, a free phone service, just like Viber or Skype with a basic user account. I understand the fundamentals roughly, although I will need to research and dabble with electronics books for a little while.
I want to build a super-antenna because this will act as the signal extension/ gain for devices to connect from distant locations. Most DIY hacks of similar technologies use a generic television aerial. I’m going to use a standard, pre- millennium sky service satellite dish. Unorthodox to say the least but, it will give me the most optimum performance one could ask for.
To render this particular form of aerial system, I will use a standard Bluetooth universal serial bus dongle and “hack it”. The way this will happen is as follows;

·         I will purchase a standard aerial antenna based Bluetooth dongle
·         I will then open the dongle, which will show me the naked components
·         I will then remove the standard aerial, by using a soldering iron to dislocate the main antenna’ s connecting wire coupling
·         The main connector of the satellite dish will then be soldered onto the foundations of the previous standard connector.

It occurs to me that this particular process will be tricky and a few electrical tweaks here and there may be necessary. I will probably need assistance for such a fiddly task.

Building the server should be relatively simple as, it will just be a generic computer station, preferably Linux based. This will act as the main connection point for all relevant devices. The dish-based dongle connection will be the amplifier for the network, enabling users to connect accordingly through use of a special encrypted key. This will be given to all who request it. In theory, the server could probably support about 100 devices at a time but, I’ll come back to that.
As VOBI will be Bluetooth based and Linux operated, I will need a programmer to write the connection and encryption program for the project to work soundly. There is a possibility it can be, implemented by myself but, I would have to use an open source program of which could both be unreliable and tedious to an untrained user. I’ll come back to that too.
I should also mention that I named this project, VOBI because it is both recognisable and correct to its cause.
VOBI (Voice Over Bluetooth Inter-link)
I will be working on this project as soon as I acquire the necessary funding. Once I have the dish, I then have the project.

"The not-so-disorganised train journey"

Awoke bright and early today, with the necessary preparedness of the hours ahead. Packed and ready for a train journey, I am over-prepared. Which is a good thing because my usual, organized mess pathology, pays off. Off to East Yorkshire I go today but, I am taking my notes and designs with me, so I can work on them accordingly. Travel won't stop the VOBI project. Now for a spot of early lunch.

"The VOBI Project"

I have many plans for the Bluetooth Network, most importantly of course, the antenna system. I shall post videos and how-tos when I am finished the first part of the project. I mean why should it cost anyone anything? I want the worlds communication to be free and if everyone did a project like this, we would all be able to make phone calls for free, for life. So let The VOBI project commence!!

"23 strong and growing"

Today is my birthday, 23 years and still no gunshot to the head. Haha! I kid of course. 23 years of being alive and facing life as a dreamer and a hopeful millionaire, one day..one day. As this is my first on this blog-page, I am going to le you in on a little secret, I am not ordinary. Most days I wish to be a millionaire and others a normal guy. I suppose I should just stick to what I know. I like the middle-man sort of life, where nothing is too disorganised or complicated. I am an inventor of sorts, for example I am currently working on inventing a mobile network of which is ultimately and singularly, Bluetooth based. It is going to primarily be a server for a new type of Voice-Over Internet Protocol (VOIP) call system. I shall call it VOBI (Voice-Over Bluetooth Interface) Watch this space!
